OnePlus has brought a brand new smartphone model “OnePlus 6” in the market. This phone looks so well designed with much more features on it. Today we will be doing some review on this phone.
Body & Design of OnePlus 6:

So starting with a look around the phone, instead of a full metal body we now have a glass back with a metal frame on all of them. There is Gorilla Glass 5 on both the front and on the back. Now for the mirror black unit, the oleophobic anti-fingerprint coding is fantastic. So wiping it cleaner fingerprints isn’t an issue at all. A visit to your pocket should resolve most of the fingerprints. There are matte finish models, the Midnight Black or the Limited Edition Silk White for new OnePlus 6.
The matte units are very fascinating. They are of good choice because the bands are also Matt and won’t show scratches easily like the mirror finish. The silk white with a gold frame and the black front is a very unique and elegant too. The other devices are very beautiful as well and look very premium without costing an arm and a leg.
Prices of OnePlus 6:
So let’s talk about prices. These started 529 US dollars for the six gigabytes of RAM model and that climbs to $579 and $629 for the eight gigabytes of RAM models. That highest $629 price includes eight gigabytes of RAM and 256 gigabytes of internal storage.

So on the front of the phone it is all display. The display is of 6.28 inch full HD plus AMOLED with very little bezel. Though we do have a notch on a top front. We have a front-facing camera that supports extremely fast face unlock, the proximity sensor and ambient light sensor and the notification LED. Make sure to stay tuned for how this display performs. Now, we realized the notch might be frustrating to some. If done right, a notch can be a good way to house information without taking away the immersive experience of the display.
OnePlus 6 Specification and New Features:
We have the fingerprint sensor and the dual camera system on the back of OnePlus 6 model. It includes the main 16-megapixel optically stabilized camera with a wide F 1.7 aperture and a 19% larger sensor to capture more light. And then we also have the secondary 20-megapixel camera that also has the F 1.7 aperture. But, it does not have optical image stabilization and this camera is to aid in depth sensing for the portrait mode. So we shall see how the OnePlus 6 does compared to the older models and lower lighting and an indoor conditions. We feel that this is a place where they really need to be competitive to matter in this generation of very well performing low light phones.

On the left-hand side we have the dual SIM card tray, as well as the volume rocker. Then on the right we have the power button and the alert slider. Then, taking a look at the top, it is clean, besides a microphone. Then on the bottom we have another microphone, the USB C charging port that supports one plus is dash charge and a single bottom firing speaker. Now, this was a little bit of a bummer to me because we were really hoping that they would integrate a nice set of stereo speakers. Oh well, can’t have it all, especially at this price point. But we do have a headphone jack. So for those of you who need an option with the headphone jack the OnePlus 6 is a good one devices feel very slippery and hands. So we would recommend carrying them in a case.
Battery, RAM and Storage:
Looking further at specs these phones are equipped with the 3300 milliamp-hour battery and the Snapdragon 835 SOC. So they should perform just as well as other Snapdragon flagship devices out on the market. These phones should be great at multitasking with either six or eight gigabytes of RAM and we have options for 64, 128 and 256 gigabytes of UFS 2.1 storage. So far we are really liking the ability to move about the interface with swipes instead of on-screen buttons and this makes the display feel all the more immersive.
Some new features that we can’t wait to try out are the slow motion and the portrait mode. Now, these are very common in flagship phones these days. But what we are really intrigued about is that even though the slow-motion mode doesn’t reach that holy grail of 960 frames per second in films in 480 frames per second, but it can record for much longer. Now, to us, that makes more sense to get the right moments. So we might actually use it. Only being able to film for a split second at 960 frames per second doesn’t really capture much.
