Hardware
Surface hub 2 is still a work in progress. Things such as product weight are still yet to be determined. There is a camera attached to the device. The company hasn’t even confirmed if it will ship with a camera. It is not sure that it will be running a custom version of Windows 10 just like the previous model, but Redmond has yet to share many details beyond that. But there are two specific things about the display that sets the Surface Hub 2 apart.

The display will have a resolution higher than 4K. This is a significant step up from the first-generation Surface Hub, which was available in either 1080p or 4K variants. It has not specified the exact the resolution but it is surely bigger than 50 inches. Surface Hub 2 will work in either portrait or landscape orientations, which is an upgrade from the landscape-only, first-generation model. You’ll even be able to put multiple Surface Hubs next to each other and create one large display which the company calls its Tiling Mode.
Price and releasing date
Microsoft says pricing will be in line with similar competitive devices, which could mean we’ll see a more aggressive price point to counter Google’s own digital whiteboard. This new one will have a better display and probably more power and will come with a more svelte design, you can expect to see the Surface Hub 2 cost just as much, if not more, than the first generation. Surface Hub 2 will be tested with select customers throughout the rest of 2018, and the company will formally release the product sometime in 2019.
