- First of all, you need to go to the Facebook website. It’s located at https://www.facebook.com/. Then you can Login to your account. You need to enter your email address (or phone number) and password into the top-right corner of the screen and click Log In to continue.
- Once you are logged in, in the top-right of the navigation bar, you need to click on ▼. Once you click on that there is a drop-down menu on your screen.
- There you need to click on Settings which is towards the bottom of the drop-down menu.
- Then click on the General tab on the top-left side of the page and from there click Manage Account.
- In that same page, you’ll see “Deactivate your account” text with an internal link attached to it.
- Click on that and you’ll be directed to a new page where you need to type in your Facebook password.
- Once you enter that click Continue. After that, you’ll be taken to the deactivation page.

- Firstly you need to go to Facebook’s deletion page. In a web browser, you can directly type https://www.facebook.com/help/delete_account into the address bar and pressing the Enter button.
- If you aren’t logged in to your account then, you need to enter the email address or phone number and password for your account and then click Log In button.
- Then click on Delete My Account button. Once you click on that there is a pop-up window.
- There you must enter your “Password” again in the password field and you must type in the correctly identified Captcha code in the middle of the window below the password field.
- If you cannot identify it then, you can click either the Try another text or an audio Captcha link below the code to generate a new one.
- After filling up both the fields you can click OK. This will submit your code and again a new pop-up window will appear.
- Then you can click OK to delete your account which is at the bottom of the pop-up window.
The account will be deleted in near about 14 days, but your account will be gone from Facebook after that time frame.
